I have been exploring and developing my writing style and sending some new works into competitions.
Here's some lock down writing:
My poem Wabi Sabi which was runner up in The Writers' Block competition on the theme of change. You can read Wabi Sabi here.
I've been also working on some flash fiction pieces inspired by our current situation. Pasodoble for One has been selected to be part of the Dulwich Festival Flash Fiction 2020 alongside some great stories which I've enjoyed reading. So if you're struggling to read something long, have a read of these 400 words or less stories.
I want to share some European Flash Fiction writing - short stories under a 100 words. In fact a literary Eurovision! I was delighted to find out that my story THE ENGLISH WAY was selected to represent writing in English. The results are out and THE ENGLISH WAY was overall European runner up/first finalist.
My novel Postcard from St Ives made it to the longlist and final seven of The Virginia Prize for Fiction.
Delighted to have made the longlist with my first ever flash fiction, By Any Other Name for TSS Publishing's Flash Fiction 400.
