Hello and welcome to my website.
This is the best place to find out about me, my artworks, my books and teaching.
I am excited to say that I can officially share that I've been awarded a Writers' Residency in collaboration with Jakarta UNESCO City of Literature. Whatever I write will be translated into Indonesian and have links to Norwich.
If you are looking to get creative I have teamed up with the curators at Norwich Castle Museum to bring you creative writing workshops entitled Castle Writers goes digital which uses artworks in the collection as inspiration for writing both poetry and prose. Download for free here.
My books for adults include Laura's Handmade Life and An Amsterdam Affair.
My short stories can be found in Where We Find Ourselves and Dateline Hastings
My children's picture book, Boundless Sky is out now!
It is published by Lantana, an award winning picture book publisher. They produce beautifully illustrated picture books.
Boundless Sky
A timely tale about two migrations:
Bird’s flight for a place to nest & little Leila’s journey for a place of peace to call home.
A moving story about war, peace, caring for the planet, & caring for each other.
Delighted to reveal that Boundless Sky has made it onto the NST Book Award 2020 - Picture Book Prize shortlist alongside such fabulous company!
The CILIP Carnegie Greenaway nominations are out today. I’m honoured to say that this year’s nominees include my picture book Boundless Sky. Massive congratulations to Manuela Adreani for her stunning illustrations and the fab team at Lantana publishing for making such a beautiful book.
The medals are the UK’s oldest and best-loved children’s book awards, recognising outstanding reading experiences created through writing and illustration in books for children and young people. Unique in that they are judged solely by librarians, the roll-call of past winners includes: Arthur Ransome, C.S. Lewis, Philip Pullman, Raymond Briggs, Shirley Hughes, Quentin Blake and Lauren Child.

Boundless Sky has made it on to the Spark Children's Book Award long list!
